Ellis Wedding Show, Penyard House

Ellis Wedding Show

On 10th February this year Penyard House hosted another of the amazing Ellis Wedding Shows. Situated out in Ross on Wye, Hereford, Penyard House was absolutely full of wedding suppliers and bursting at the seams with brides to be and their partners.

Spanning god knows how many rooms and over 3 floors, there was a look of products and services on offer, from wedding photographers in Hereford and the West Midlands to Chocolate Fountain hire, suit hire, harpists, sweets, stationary, flowers, wedding DJ’s… the list goes on!

Being big fans of the Ellis Wedding Shows, we try to get to as many as we can. This time Ellis really outdid herself. As well as taking over even more of the lovely wedding venue, Ellis added a chillout area for the men who were, reluctantly, dragged along when they’d rather be in the pub or watching the football! On top of that, Ellis put on a complete catwalk show exhibition to show off the wedding dresses from Lily Oliver Bridal and Amore Bridal Wear with mens suits from Bill Child Formal Wear with commentary by wedding DJ Pete Stead.

Hire a Photo Booth!

And, let’s not forget, myPhotobooth was there! As usual, we had the photo booth all setup and running so the visitors could have a go and see how everything works – and, or course, take some photos home with them. You can find the photos from the day on our facebook gallery.

So remember! If you are looking to hire a photo booth, give us a shout!

Saxtys Prom Fayre, Hereford

Being prom season it was only inevitable that we would be attending a prom fayre. This time around our host was Hayley from Turner & Turner Events who organised the fayre at Saxtys Bar in Hereford on Sunday 24th February.

We saw many familiar faces and some new! Finally got to meet the wonderful photographer Jay from All Seeing Eye in person too. There was everything that you could think might be needed for a prom, including;

Bill Childs Formal Wear
All Seeing Eye Photography
Aston Rose Bridal Centre
Prestige Events
Makeup Artist Naomi Emmanuelle
Hair Stylist Hilarys Wedlocks
Cesanexa Creations

and of course the best photo booth hire in the West Midlands! – myPhotobooth (so come and like us on facebook!)

We had a very productive day and would like to thank everyone involved. I would also like to give Jay another shout out.

Jay works as a photographer at All Seeing Eye in Hereford. She does all the usual portraits and prom photos but has just started a new service called “Bling!”. Bling! is prom photographer with a difference, rather than your standard backdrop photography (as we also do!) Jay shoots all over the place making the photos much more interesting and personal – as you can see from these examples … Oop not yet, I’ll get some samples from Jay to include soon. For now you’ll have to take my word for it, the photos are fantastic!

Hereford Racecourse Wedding Fair

After a busy weekend out on the road, clocking up a massive 570 miles in only 3 days! – we finished the weekend off with the glamorous wedding fair at the Hereford racecourse.

The photo booth went down well and we had a great time, getting very busy at times. In attendance were some familiar faces in the form of stylish wedding photographer Gemma Williams, wedding florist Simply Flowers, Pleasance & Harper Jewellers and Hereford’s own Bill Child formal wear. We were also happy to meet everyone else at the fayre; lounge pianist Ben Bateson, chocolate fountain provider fantasticchoclatefountains, Ashton Rose bridal centre and Cloud Nine hair & makeup. And, of course, we’d like to thank Des Shaw for popping in and helping out when it got busy.

Revd Mark Townsend

There is someone else who we would like to give a big mention to, and that would be Reverend Mark Townsend, also know as “Rent-a-Rev“. Not only is Revd. Townsend a priest of the Open Episcopal Church, available for hire for special occasions ranging from weddings and christenings to baptisms, he is also a practicing – and very talented – close up magician, which should put many a bride at ease knowing that, should the usher lose the wedding rings, the good Revd just might be able to pull a pair of right out of thin air.

So, we would like to welcome our newest friends, Kim, Leah, Lyndsey, Emma and their respective husbands to be and we look forward to seeing you all on your special days!

The Ellis Wedding Show 2011

The Chase Hotel Wedding Venue, Ross on Wye

We had a great time at the Chase Hotel in Ross on Wye this May bank holiday. It was another fantastic wedding fayre hosted by Ellis of Ellis Wedding Shows.

We met lots of new businesses and spotted some great ideas for weddings. There were some great photographers, crafts people, musicians, magicians and all sorts of other people involved in wedding entertainment. Including;

Fiction Candy Jewellery, where tiny Josephine makes various pieces of jewellery that look like sweets! The awesome hypno-magician, Kiegan Vallely, who was just as impressive as he was the night I met him half-baked in a nightclub. The lovely photographer Gemma Williams. And Kate and Michelle from Avon.

With the music for the day being provided by Pervez and Paul from the Hurricane mobile disco.

It was a great day, despite the rain, for everyone in the wedding entertainment industry who attended and we saw some great ideas for weddings ourselves! Our photo booth hire service went down really well at the popular wedding venue and everyone seemed to have a great time. We’d like to welcome our new clients, Dawn, Helen, Joanne and Sarah and look forward to seeing you between your parties now and weddings next year with our photo booth.
