Ellis Wedding Show, Penyard House

Ellis Wedding Show

On 10th February this year Penyard House hosted another of the amazing Ellis Wedding Shows. Situated out in Ross on Wye, Hereford, Penyard House was absolutely full of wedding suppliers and bursting at the seams with brides to be and their partners.

Spanning god knows how many rooms and over 3 floors, there was a look of products and services on offer, from wedding photographers in Hereford and the West Midlands to Chocolate Fountain hire, suit hire, harpists, sweets, stationary, flowers, wedding DJ’s… the list goes on!

Being big fans of the Ellis Wedding Shows, we try to get to as many as we can. This time Ellis really outdid herself. As well as taking over even more of the lovely wedding venue, Ellis added a chillout area for the men who were, reluctantly, dragged along when they’d rather be in the pub or watching the football! On top of that, Ellis put on a complete catwalk show exhibition to show off the wedding dresses from Lily Oliver Bridal and Amore Bridal Wear with mens suits from Bill Child Formal Wear with commentary by wedding DJ Pete Stead.

Hire a Photo Booth!

And, let’s not forget, myPhotobooth was there! As usual, we had the photo booth all setup and running so the visitors could have a go and see how everything works – and, or course, take some photos home with them. You can find the photos from the day on our facebook gallery.

So remember! If you are looking to hire a photo booth, give us a shout!

Krispy Kreme Launch, Edinburgh!

It’s that time of year again, when the lovely people at Krispy Kreme open up a new hotlight store full of their tasty doughnuts! This time we took a photo booth all the way up to Edinburgh for Scotlands first ever Krispy Kreme store opening!

After a long drive from deep in the West Midlands, we arrived at Hermiston Gait ready to set up the photo booth for the evening launch party. By 5pm the doughnuts and coffee were flowing (the MC2 girls doing a fantastic job as always) and the music pumping courtesy of Edinburghs ForthOne (FM) Radio team. Everyone had a great time, and who wouldn’t with a factory belt of non-stop doughnuts! Anyway, Jamie whipped out his compact camera and captured a bit of video…..

UK Oracle Users Group Convention 2012 – ICC

Early on in December this year, we were fortunate enough to be booked by California based company “Rimini Street“, to add a twist to their stand at this years UK Oracle Users Group (UKOUG) convention at the ICC in Birmingham. Having only been at the ICC a few days previous for the NCFE Awards, we were lucky enough to know our way around. The guys at the ICC where great as usual and very helpful – so a big shout out to them.

It was certainly an interesting day with all sorts going on and people in attendance from all over the world. The Rimini Street guys were fantastic and a pleasure to work alongside – and they certainly enjoyed the photo booth! I think we need to make a special mention to the guys on the other stand who managed to crash a remote control helicopter while flying it around indoors, it put a smile on quite a few faces :)

GlobalX / 7Side Christmas Party 2012

This was the second year that we took our photo booth to the GlobalX/7side Christmas party and it certainly lived up to expectation! We were at the Vale Resort in Glamorgan again this year, which is a fantastic place as a wedding venue in Wales / Cardiff as well as all manner of corporate events. In fact, you may have seen the Vale Resort in Episode 4 (Season 1) of Gavin & Stacey – where the families drive down to Barri for a wedding fayre at the Vale!

7Side Christmas Party 2012

So, true to form, 7side hosted their annual “Red Rooster” awards, which – of course – we made a little note of. You can read about last years winners on our photo booth hire blog here: GlobalX Christmas Party 2011

The Nominees for the Red Rooster Awards 2012 were as follows;

  1. Mary – Who locked herself in the toilet onboard a train and tried to break her way out by picking the lock with a fork!
  2. Phil – Who tried to make a nice pattern in his tie with a hole punch, only for the punch to get stuck before scattering paper dots all over the floor
  3. Gaz – Who went on a business trip to Australia with Wendy and Sian and inadvertently ended up texting the girls instead of his girlfriend with the message, “Just had a nice wine, back in my room in my pants eating Haribo and Pringles”
  4. Vicky – Who furiously called in tech support because her mouse wasn’t working, only to find that she had been moving the stapler around the desk instead.
  5. Mark – Who, mistakenly, advised the “Hymen Manouevre” for a “particularly dry scotch egg” that was lodged in Wendy’s throat – which came as a surprise as you may recall last
year Wendy informed everyone that she had a “deceptively deep mouth”
  6. Fliss – Who likes to use her own phonetic alphabet, which we dare not repeat here!

And the winner was; Fliss!

Smallest Feet Ever

We’d also like to give a special mention to Kathryn who, officially, has the smallest feet that we’ve seen whilst out with the photo booth! Here’s to another great year for 7Side and we hope to see them again in 2013!

Kirsty and Rich’s Wedding Photo Booth in Worcester

While team one was battling through the elements in Kidderminster we had Mike out in team two making his way through Malvern in Worcestershire to the fabulous Birtsmorton Court for the grand reception of Kirsty and Rich. It was a fantastic night and the photo booth was a big hit with all of the guests joining in to have their picture taken.

Towards the end, the weather took hold and the flood water started to come through the floor! Everyone had to evacuate the venue saving all of the presents and gifts on the way. But despite the little hiccup with the weather, the night was a great success and the floods only make Kirsty and Richs wedding day even more memorable!

We would like to wish both Kirsty and Richard all the very best for the future and hope that the water stays away long enough for them to enjoy their honeymoon together.
